Note from the Executive

This site is still in the early stages of development but our goal is to provide information about our snowmobile club and the areas that we ride. We invite anyone that is interested in snowmobiling to browse through our site. The Rocky Mountain Riders Snowmobile Club (RMRSC) is based out of Mackenzie, B.C. Canada. We enjoy snowmobiling from November to May (this may vary slightly depending on snow levels at lower elevations) over a vast amount of terrain that can be accessed directly from town or is within a short drive of town. The Mackenzie area has many diverse riding areas that have something to offer everyone from the novice to the extreme riders.

The RMRSC is an advocate for everyone that enjoys sledding; we are working to ensure that everyone can continue to have the opportunity to enjoy snowmobiling in and around Mackenzie. The club is also actively working on developing new trails and upgrading existing trails to make sledding more enjoyable for the whole family. The RMRSC hosts a variety of different events throughout the winter season including Family Fun Rides, Poker Rallies, Show and Shine and Snow Drags. We also raise money for several different worthy causes including breast cancer by participating in the WOW (Way out Women) Ride, Care and Share and the Lions Club by participating in Snowarama.

So if you are new to Mackenzie, looking for a fun activity to do with the family, looking for someone to ride with or just wanting a new place to ride check out our website.

Mark Pride, President RMRSC

Asking yourself? What does my membership get me.

When you join and become a member, you assist the club and its fellow riders by ensuring we have a strong collective voice.  This voice becomes important during land tenure, wildlife management and many other issues that impact this recreational activity.

When you join and become a member, you will meet a host of experienced sledders.  Whether you prefer trail riding or high in the mountains you will always have someone to call on for information.

When you join and become a member, plan on having lots of fun, our members are devoted to safety and making memories that will not soon be forgotten.

Fees: BCSF Membership

Single $ 60.00 (minimum for any club in BC) Total Fees Collected ______________________

Single plus 1 other family member living in the household $75.00

For BC Snowmobile Federation Membership, fees include insurance for a principle family member plus 1 in family. Extra members are an additional $28.00 for each child living at home under the age of 16. All members receive a trail pass good for any trail in B.C. The BCSF is the agency that represents all snowmobilers in BC and lobbies on our behalf for the land use agreements. This is a big issue. We could easily see massive restrictions placed upon snowmobilers without having an organized voice. Every BCSF registered family member will receive a Trail Pass Decal, be registered for the $50,000 Death and Dismemberment Policy and the $5,000,000 Club Liability Policy. All children able to ride a snowmobile by themselves or with another driver and who are riding with their parents or guardians permission will be eligible for coverage, regardless of age.

OR

RMR also has an associate membership for $20 per person ($15 before Dec 31). This fee gives each member a voice in the club but does not include BCSF membership or any insurance. The following waiver must be signed to absolve The Rocky Mountain Rider’s Club or Executive for any liabilities or injuries while at a club sponsored event.

I fully understand that I am an associate member of the Rocky Mountain Rider’s Snowmobile Club and have only a voice in the club. I have no insurance of any kind and will not hold the Club or Executive liable for any damage or injuries incurred by myself at a club sponsored event.
